Like a 9 foot x 20 foot ink jet printer
...if paper were sand mixed with a special powder and ink was a non-toxic liquid that turns sand into concrete wherever it touches it. Our large format printer lives in a historic former textile mill, right next to the rushing river that used to power the equipment, and we hope, will again.
Automated concrete coral printing
Take a 3d coral digital file, add some sophisticated software, automate a large 3d printer and voila! one hour of printing can yield a 12" tall, sea-ready coral 3d print. Order one here.
Design it virtually, print it in reality
We print in voxels--the 3d version of a pixel. But we design before we print. Send us your ideas for custom prints and we'll quote on the cost of reproducing your own coral idea or underwater sculpture design.
3d coral artisans
Once your coral is printed, there's a bit of human labor involved before it's shipped to make sure your coral print meets our high standards. Madco3d's president, Adam Kushner (left) helps unearth a 3d-printed concrete branch coral. There's a quick round of post-production and curing before your 3d-printed coral ships to you.

Dr. David Vaughan, Founder of Plant a Million Corals Foundation
A 3D-printing environmentalist meets a coral-restoring guru
Science, tech and eureka moments: working with Dr. David Vaughan and Plant a Million Corals Foundation
When Madco3d partner and environmental entrepreneur Dan Bernard (no beard) read about Dr. Vaughan's (beard) pioneering work in restoring endangered and dying coral reefs, he reached out to him with interest and curiosity.
It was not long before Bernard realized Vaughan's extensive life experience in the coral and marine biology field joined with his passionate commitment to the reefs, matching his own, was a good fit for Madco3d's printing technology and mission. The good doctor luckily felt the same.
Madco3d is proud to work with Dr. Vaughan and further his efforts to plant at least a million corals worldwide. Purchase a 3d-printed coral replica here and do your bit for the oceans and the reefs.
